Looking for something quick and easy that your toddler or preschooler could make this Easter?
Well look no further. Here’s a fun paper plate rocking chicken that even the littlest hands can manage with minimal assistance.
Materials:
- Paper Plate
- Paint (or markers)
- Paper (cut into a triangle)
- Glue/Sticky Tape
- Feathers (optional)
- Googly Eyes (optional)
Directions:
Paint (or colour) the bottom of your paper plate and set aside to dry.
When the paint is dry fold the paper plate in half with the colour on the outside. Open the plate back up and on the non-coloured side, stick down your triangle of paper for a beak and some feathers for a tail. Make sure these are stuck down along the fold as shown in the picture.
Fold the plate back in half with the colour on the outside and stick on (or draw) some eyes on each side.
Stick on your feathers or alternatively you could draw on a wing or use some paper cut in the shape of a wing.
Tadaaa! Once your chicken has dried watch your child have fun making the chicken “peck” as it rocks backwards and forwards thanks to the rounded bottom.
